Attention Texas Sun Devils! The ASU Alumni Association is going on tour for nine spirited days across the great state of Texas culminating in the Sparky's Touchdown Tailgate experience at Texas Tech. Join us at any/or all of the our Texas Takeover activities!

Austin: Sept. 12 – Sept. 14

​​​​​​​3:00 p.m. - Bus trip to Texas State

  • Get amped up for Sun Devil Football with ASU alumni on a private bus ride to and from the game in San Marcos at Texas State. Pick up and drop-off is in downtown Austin.
  • Bus boards and departs from 101 Red River St, Austin, TX 78701

4:00 p.m. - Austin alumni chapter tailgate at Texas State

  • Join the Austin ASU Alumni chapter for a spirited, casual gathering prior to the football game against Texas State. Rally your Sun Devil spirit with music, food and socializing! Admission is free, but the Austin alumni chapter will be accepting donations for food. Due to Texas state law, alcohol will not be provided; please bring your own beverage (permissible under Texas State tailgating rules) if you do wish to drink.  Register for this and all other Texas Takeover events at the link below!

  • Purchase your tickets for this out-of-conference matchup!  Tickets can be reserved through the Sun Devil Athletics allotment using the button below, or through the Texas State website for general admission or other seating options.

Lubbock: Sept. 20 – Sept. 21

4-5:30 p.m. (CDT) –  Friday Night Inferno

  • The night before the Sun Devils take the field for their first conference game as members of the Big 12, alums and fans will come together for a spirited social hour.  Come out to this free event, featuring plenty of maroon and gold alongside happy hour deals!

11:30 a.m. - Sparky’s Touchdown Tailgate at Texas Tech

  • After seven years, Sun Devil Football is back in Lubbock to claim victory against Texas Tech. Don’t miss your chance to immerse Lubbock with maroon-and-gold pride, connect with your community and root for ASU’s victory at this historic tailgate!  Tickets include a full BBQ meal, games, entertainment and an exclusive Sparky rally towel.
