A vehicle in the state of PA must already be registered for its owner to apply for a specialty plate. Register now for your new Pennsylvania Sparky license plate. Frequently asked questions
1. Go online and order your own ASU license plate for $25 (nonpersonalized) or $50 (personalized, six-character limit).
2. Visit your local MVD branch or authorized third party office to place your order in person.
If you currently have a nonpersonalized ASU license plate, you can take your current plate to an MVD or authorized third party office and exchange it for the new Sun Devil pitchfork design. A $5 replacement fee will apply, with an additional postage fee, if mailing. Both versions of the plate will be valid for use.
In addition to Arizona, ASU license plates are offered in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Texas.
The MVD will collect and forward $17 of your $25 contribution to ASU Alumni. The money raised by the ASU collegiate license plate program is allocated directly to the Medallion Scholarship fund that gives ASU students opportunities to enhance their college experience through participation in this leadership scholarship program.
The Medallion Scholarship program is ASU Alumni's signature scholarship initiative. The Medallion Scholarship is more than a financial award; it is a comprehensive scholarship program that incorporates components of leadership, scholarship and service.
