One of the experiences I remember most from my time at Arizona State University was joining the United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA?USA) ASU Chapter. I originally found it by accident while looking for a Model UN club, but it quickly became where I spent most of my time outside of classes. Serving on the chapter's leadership board as Vice President of Services gave me the chance to work on projects, meet people who cared about global issues as much as I did, and get the kind of hands?on experience that ended up shaping my career.
After graduating from ASU, I went on to earn my master's degree, moved to Washington, D.C., and eventually joined the United Nations Foundation. Today, I serve as Senior Associate for Community Engagement with UNA?USA, and I can trace that path directly back to the opportunities I had as a student.

In my current role, I organize national consultations, moderate panels with UN officials, lead delegations to UN conferences, support the UNA?USA Women's Affinity Group, and oversee community engagement initiatives that connect people across the country to the work of the United Nations.
