Cassandra Holcombe, '18 BS

Communication
College of Liberal Arts & Sciences
Maricopa, AZ

My name is Cassandra Holcombe and I am a sun devil for life! I am a first-generation college student and never would have dreamed that I would be a sun devil. I moved here from Washington State after high school for a fresh start with my parents. I attended a local community college and received the All-Arizona Academic Team scholarship!!! This scholarship offered me a full-ride to a university of my choice and of course, I picked ASU! I always knew I was going to college, but never knew how I was going to pay for it. Additionally, I received the Alexander and Vivian Gentleman Endowed Scholarship when I attended the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication. I graduated in 2018 with my Bachelors of Science in Communication. I now work for the community college that I attended as the Student Engagement Coordinator. My favorite time at ASU was going to the football games. I was a commuter student so I didn't spend much time on campus; however, when ASU beat University of Washington and we got to rush the field after the game...that is one of my favorite memories as a student! Now as alumni, I enjoy going to the hockey games, or events like Open Door and Holiday photos with Sparky. I can't wait to have children someday and join Sun Devil Generations! I also have a brick in front of the football stadium with my name so my future children can visit their mom's legacy one day. I even have an ASU tattoo!
