At 13 years old, I struggled to read. School was difficult, frustrating, and often discouraging. In high school, I felt behind and unsure of myself, wondering if I would ever truly succeed in an academic environment. Learning didn't come naturally to me, and for a long time, I believed that meant I wasn't capable.

But God had a different plan.

When I entered college, everything began to change. I met professors who didn't just teach content they taught me how to learn. They helped me understand how my mind worked, how to approach problems, and how to believe in myself again. That shift changed everything.

As I grew academically, I also found purpose in helping others. I worked in learning centers and supported students who felt the same doubt and frustration I once carried. What once felt like a weakness became a strength I could use to encourage others.

My journey took me from Northwest Vista College, to UTSA, and ultimately to Arizona State University. ASU became one of the most meaningful chapters of my life. The way they supported me, prepared me for rigorous courses, and introduced structured learning programs made a lasting impact. I will always be grateful for the respect, patience, and belief they placed in me.

Today, that journey has led me to real opportunities.I graduated today with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and I currently work with Carrier, supporting Microsoft data centers, and I have also received an offer to begin my career through the U.S. government's PAQ program. These opportunities are a reflection of perseverance, faith, and the people who invested in me along the way. My story is proof that where you start does not determine where you finish. With faith, the right mentors, and the willingness to keep going, growth is always possible.
