Curtis Lawrence, '24 Ed.D

Leadership and Innovation
Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation
Jacksonville, FL

I remember when I first received my acceptance to ASU's Doctoral Program in Education Leadership & Innovation. I could not believe, I was about to begin my journey to become Dr. Curtis F. Lawrence, Jr.

I was the first male on either side of my family to go to college, and now I was to be the first and only person in the family to have a doctoral degree. Arizona State University 100% supported my journey to ensure I was successful. Never was there a point during my doctoral journey was I marginalized, rather I was pushed to my limit to produce Sun-Devil excellence, and whenever I was in doubt, there were professors and the Student Success Center to ensure all doubt was eliminated.

Along the way, I met my Class of 2024 forever academic road-dogs: Valeria & Woo-Jung, and I can say that without them, this journey would not have been as successful as it was.

I have proudly recommended ASU to to others, and will forever lift Sun-Devil pride. Forks up!
