Tifanie and I met at Arizona State University in 2000 while pursuing degrees in chemical engineering and computer science, respectively. Our paths crossed through mutual friends and a few chance encounters at the engineering library, where late nights of studying turned into conversations that sparked a connection. Before long, we started attending every ASU home football game together and even made a memorable trip to Tucson for the Territorial Cup. It was on “A” Mountain in 2001 where I took the leap and proposed by painting “Tifanie, will you marry me?” on the A — a moment that captured the spirit of our Sun Devil love story. We tied the knot in Tempe in 2002, just weeks after graduation. Over the years, we’ve moved around the country for work but our ASU memories remain a constant. And now, with three children, one of whom is seriously considering ASU, the legacy continues.
