Criminal Justice
Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions
Vallejo, CA

I attended Arizona State University (ASU) from 2015 to 2016, where I earned a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice (MACJ). Participating in the MACJ Online Program was particularly beneficial, as it allowed me to balance my educational pursuits with my obligations while stationed in California during my service in the United States Navy. I greatly appreciated ASU's understanding of my commitments, which facilitated my successful completion of the program in just one year. My experience at ASU was enjoyable; I had the opportunity to engage with exceptional professors, dedicated faculty and staff, and supportive classmates, all of whom contributed to my academic success.

Hailing from a low-income family in Vallejo, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area, I was the first among my siblings and cousins to serve in the U.S. Military, following in the footsteps of several uncles who also served and retired. Currently, I have transitioned into a civilian role in federal law enforcement and also work for Allegiant HQ Corporate Security following my retirement from military service.

Arizona State University is an excellent institution that demonstrates strong support for military personnel and veterans. I highly recommend it to those considering enrollment. Forks Up!
