My fondest memories were the many late nights spent in the basement of the Mathews Centers on the Tempe campus getting The State Press ready for production. As a reporter, city editor and finally, editor-in-chief, I spent countless hours in that basement with friends who had the same goal as me: share the school news and let students and faculty know what is happening on campus. ASU shaped me as a journalist because it offered me real-world experience at The State Press and various internships across the Valley, including twice at The Arizona Republic. I am now involved in public relations, opening my own firm, ke comms, in 2023. ASU gave me the skills to follow my goals and work toward what I believe in. My favorite member was a party we held at the house I lived in just across the street from the Tempe campus. We dressed up as 70s, 80s and 90s and invited people from The State Press and their friends. It was super fun!
