As a first generation college graduate, I never thought that I would attend a four year university. Working at Starbucks, I found out ASU has a college program where I could get assistance with tuition. I thought “why not?” Henceforth starting my journey at ASU. I received so much help from professors and staff from words of encouragement to academic assistance. Graduating in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology made my family proud, especially because I graduated with a 4.0 GPA! My journey at ASU isn’t over as I am now pursuing a Master of Social Work degree. I wouldn’t have chosen any other school for this and I’m excited to continue this path that ASU helped pave for me.
