My time at Arizona State University was one of the most transformative periods of my life. I came to ASU after surviving a life-threatening accident and a brain injury, and the support I received from the faculty and the Disability Resource Center helped me push through challenges and succeed academically.
ASU also helped me discover my passion for genetics through hands-on research and molecular biology experiences that shaped my goals for graduate school and a future in medical genetics.

My favorite memory is from the week I spent in Tempe during Summer 2024 for undergraduate research. Even though it was only a week, experiencing the campus in person walking through Tempe, being in the labs, and feeling the campus atmosphere made me feel connected in a way online classes never could. It made ASU feel like home.

ASU gave me resilience, confidence, and a sense of direction, and it played a major role in helping me rebuild my future.
