I enrolled at ASU in 2022 in the Master's of Literacy Education program. After researching lots of online programs, ASU was the obvious choice for me; everything was streamlined, collaborative, in-depth, and still personal despite learning online. I was able to learn from top-tier professors who invested in me and my education through thorough feedback, creative assignments, and by walking me through in-person practicums regardless of where I was in the United States. I was able to complete my master's while traveling across the US from AZ, NC, MI, and a few places in between.
What I really want to thank ASU for, though, is the confidence and depth of understanding around literature that I was provided--not only to use in a classroom, but also to apply to my own writing. Since graduating, I have published my first book, Brillimous, a YA dystopian novel. ASU and the education I received while attending the literacy program gave me a deeper understanding of YA tropes, story development, and themes that helped propel my career as an author today.
