Like many married first generation students, my biggest obstacle was believing I was worthy and capable of achieving a higher education while juggling motherhood, wife duties and working a full time job. Arizona State University allowed me to not only work on pursuing a higher education but also allowed me to have a balanced life. While it's not the easiest thing I've done in my life, having professors that face similar challenges such as working, family life and pursuing a higher education made the struggle more worthwhile.
Arizona State University played a pivotal role in fostering my self-confidence, enabling me to demonstrate my ability to achieve my personal and professional goals. This accomplishment marks the commencement of my academic journey and I am eager to continue my pursuit of knowledge and success.
My most cherished memory as a Sun Devil is meeting lifelong friends who became my pillars of strength during some of the most challenging times in my academic journey.
