Aviolalynne Martinez, ‘11 BA

I started college a few years after I graduated high school and my son. I have always dreamt about going to ASU to become a teacher since I was little. Life happens and I didn't do the "traditional" route. My boyfriend, now my husband, encouraged me to go to school and I did. When I transfered to the Poly Campus it was comfortable. Being able to take classes in the evening and in a smaller setting really helped me not feel overwhelmed. I was also able to join the Desert Chorale Choir on the campus and I enjoyed showcasing out vocal talent in the student union during holidays. I am so happy to be an ASU alumni.
