What is an ASURITE ID?

An ASURITE account is used as the primary login name/method for all ASU computing services. Your ASURITE ID is an auto-generated username based on your actual name or your name as a student.

Is an ASURITE ID the same as my student ID?

No, student ID's are represented by a series of numbers. Student IDs, while used at times to confirm your identity, are not a login name for computing services at ASU.

Why do I need an ASURITE ID?

The ASU Alumni Association, in partnership with ASU's University Technology Office, has chosen to make the ASURITE ID the authentication method of choice, so that our login for access to your alumni record is consistent to what was used for your former student record.

How do I get an ASURITE ID?

Pre-1980 graduates should contact the ASU Alumni Association for assistance with ASURITE IDs. We can be reached at 1-800-ALUMNUS or (480) 965-ALUM. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (MST).

Graduates from 1980 (and after), current students, faculty and staff should contact the University's Technology Help Desk at 1-855-ASU-5080. Their office is open 24/7.

What information will I need?

Current and former students should be prepared to provide identifying information to ensure positive indentification in the student database. This information includes:

Current name
Name at graduation
Birth date
Year of graduation
Last 4 digits of your SSN
Current email Address
Phone number

If known:
10-digit ASU ID
ASURITE ID that was previously assigned to you

I already have an ASURITE ID, but it doesn't seem to work. What do I do?

Contact the University's Technology Help Desk at 1-855-ASU-5080 for further assistance.

I already have an ASURITE ID, but I can't recall my password. How can I get that?

Please visit www.asu.edu/lostpassword to verify your identity. After entering the appropriate information, a security question will be asked before the password can be reset. For further assistance, contact the University's Technology Help Desk at 1-855-ASU-5080.

I have an ASURITE ID, but I still can't access the MyASU Community. What happened?

Access to the MyASU Community is limited to degreed alumni and/or to paid members of the ASU Alumni Association. If you did not graduate from ASU or are not a paid member of the Alumni Association, you will not be able to access the MyASU Community.
