Which groups or activities were you most involved in at ASU? What did you gain from that involvement?
My fondest memories at ASU came to be from my involvement with the business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi (DSP). Reflecting back, there are truly countless gains in being involved with a community and organization such as DSP. I was able to master my public speaking skills, learn to set goals and achieve them, whilst keeping a keen eye towards the importance of community service.
How did your education at ASU prepare you for your current job or business?
Both Barrett, The Honors College and the W. P. Carey School of Business taught me to strive to attain higher horizons. The innovation and incredible accomplishments that both organizations have achieved in such a short amount of time thanks to their method of honing in on a specific objective and finding the path to reaching that desired goal have taught me to apply that same philosophy and determination to my own career.
The knowledge and real-life examples I studied as part of my supply chain management and marketing degrees have allowed me to immediately dive into the roles that I was hired for right out of college. I still sometimes refer back to the class notes I took in my ASU business classes, and that alone is proof of excellence.
How did ASU help you achieve your dream?
ASU helped me achieve my dream of independence and success by instilling confidence, methodology, and perseverance to the everyday tasks and challenges that presented themselves during my three-and-a-half years at ASU.
Tell us about your involvement with the ASU Alumni Association’s international connection group in Italy.
As a liaison, one must always remember where everything began, the roots of the beginning. It is through our foundations that we can make the world a better place and my hope is to inspire young people in Italy and with whom I come in contact with to take a leap into the extremely positive world of attending ASU, as well as keeping the vibrant spirit of the Sun Devils alive with alumni living here in Italy.
What are three “can’t-miss” ASU experiences every Sun Devil should participate in?
1) Whitewash the A
2) The Lantern Walk at Homecoming
3) Attending a football game and mingle with alumni before the game!
