Which groups or activities were you most involved in at ASU? What did you gain from that involvement?

Because I pursued an undergraduate degree in exercise and wellness with a concentration in health promotion, I was very active at ASU’s recreation center. I took regular classes, worked out and even taught classes. I also participated in and helped conduct a research study for a master’s-level kinesiology student thesis. The study measured the impact of stretching after exercise on the muscles involved.

How did your education at ASU prepare you for your current job or business?

ASU prepared me to create a corporate culture filled with fitness and work-life balance. We have crafted one of the best cultures I know of at Axosoft, the software company where I am CEO. Additionally, my education at ASU made me much more aware of the local talent available, and I hire ASU alumni with pride.

How did ASU help you achieve your dream?

The university prepared me for a rich and diverse life. On of the highlights of my student days was putting together a wellness fair on campus. That event helped me learn crucial concepts in project management, marketing and leadership.

What advice would you have for today’s students?

Take it all in, enjoy every second of your education. Take advantage of ASU’s magnificent professors, visit them regularly and ask them all of the questions you have on the topic they teach. It will make you a more rounded person.
