jeff (pendergraph) ayres '08 b.s.

Jeff Pendergraph is a professional basketball player in the NBA. He began playing basketball as a forward at Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and came to ASU to play on the men’s basketball team. Pendergraph had a stunning freshman season during 2005-2006, ranking among the Pac-10’s freshmen league leaders with 10.9 points per game. During his time at ASU, he set Sun Devil records for games played and started, and he also set a record for career points scored and career rebounds, which placed him sixth and second on the school career list, respectively. 

He graduated from ASU with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 2008 and signed a contract with the Portland Trail Blazers in 2009, but was waived for the 2010 season. In 2011, Pendergraph was signed by the Indiana Pacers and in the first 18 minutes of his first game he scored 10 points with 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks.
