Eric Anzalone '12 B.A.

Editor's note: Eric Anzalone is a singer, actor and writer best known for portraying the leatherman/biker character in the musical group the Village People. Anzalone grew up in Watertown, N.Y., and Santa Barbara, Calif., and studied theater and music at the University of Miami. He has performed in various stage productions around the world, including roles in a European tour of “HAIR,” and Donatello in the world tour of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Coming Out of Our Shells.” He took over the role with the Village People from original group member Glenn Hughes in 1995.

Anzalone graduated from ASU in May 2012 with a degree in film and media. He is host of a monthly interview show, “The Vibe,” and a podcast, “The Bodhi Blog.” Writing under the pen name J.E. Anzalone, he penned the semi-autobiographical novel “Collisions Course.”
