With the start of the school year less than four weeks away (Remember the excitement you felt as you headed back to college for another year?) Sun Devil Send-Offs are in full swing at the Alumni Association. Last week started with a Send-Off in Yuma and then this weekend was filled with events in San Diego, Portland, Indianapolis, Columbus, St. Louis and San Antonio. For incoming freshmen, these Send-Offs are a great way to hear about ASU and the opportunities they will experience here. For parents, they have the opportunity to hear about college life in the Valley of the Sun!
Old Main, which serves as the offices of the ASU Alumni Association, also served as the venue for the Tempe Chamber of Commerce’s Business Before Hours mixer Tuesday morning. More than 40 Tempe chamber businesses gathered for networking event where they exchanged business cards and made connections.
While it may be vacation for some, we’re still serious about business this summer and that’s why we held a Maroon & Gold Mixer Wednesday night at Maria Maria. More than 40 alums came together for networking and made business connections with other Sun Devils. If you’re an alum living in Maricopa County and haven’t yet made it to one of these events, be sure and mark your calendar for our next Mixer on September 22nd at The District, located in the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel.
