Nationwide, ASU Alumni Chapters host “Sun Devil Send-Offs” each summer to meet and welcome incoming families and students to ASU. Somewhere between a pep rally and a maroon-and-gold lovefest, send-offs help ease the transition to college, whether you’re an incoming freshman, international student or transfer.

New students have great things to say about Sun Devil Send-Offs:

Portland Sun Devil Send Off

Cami Samuels, broadcast journalism major from Portland, Oregon

"I really liked getting to meet other new students who live in the same state and area that I do. I think it is really helpful to know them going into the school year, and we all exchanged phone numbers and info so we can stay in contact."

ASU alumni, students and families at Sun Devil Send Off

Natalie Fleming, sustainability major from Madison, Wisconsin

"Gathering with other incoming freshmen and parents really helped my mom and me feel connected to ASU before I even got there. It was comforting to meet other students from Wisconsin, who were also moving across the country to attend ASU. I feel fortunate that I had the opportunity to attend a Sun Devil Send-Off so close to home."
