Board of Directors: Officers

Chair: Ryan Abbott '01 B.S., '08 M.B.A.
Ryan Abbott is senior vice president at Sundt Construction, Inc. He began his career at Sundt more than 14 years ago as a field engineer, working his way through every level of project management. 

He has played a key role on many notable ASU projects, including Lattie F. Coor Hall, the Interdisciplinary Science & Technology Building 4 (ISTB4), the Biodesign Institute, the Downtown Phoenix Sun Devil Fitness Center and Sun Devil Stadium. Prior to serving on the ASU Alumni Association board, Abbott was a member of the organization’s Arizona State Young Alumni (ASYA) Council, the National Alumni Council and has chaired the Founders’ Day Committee. 

Chair-Elect:Trish Gulbranson '88 B.S.
Trish Gulbranson is founder, president and CEO of Derma Health. Prior to founding her company, she was CEO of the software company NetPro and had begun her career working as an accountant for one of the Big 4 accounting firms. She is currently a member of the ASU President's Club and the board of directors for the Arouet Foundation, and previously has been involved in the Arizona Technology Council, the Arizona Venture Capital Conference, and the Enterprise Networking Executive Board.


Treasurer: Anthony Valencia '91 B.S., ’13 M.B.A.
Anthony ValenciaValencia is VP of Real Estate Operations for Chicanos Por La Causa Inc. (CPLC). In this role, Valencia is responsible for managing all finance and accounting initiatives for CPLC and its affiliates and subsidiaries. Prior to his current position, he served as program finance manager for CPLC. He began his career in an entrepreneurial environment, serving as chief financial officer for several for-profit ventures.

Valencia holds a bachelor's degree in finance and an MBA from the W. P. Carey School of Business. An alumnus of Valley Leadership, he also has served on the board of directors for the Roosevelt Education Foundation and is currently president of the board of directors for the W. P. Carey School of Business alumni chapter.


Past Chair: Brian LaCorte ’85 B.S.

Brian LaCorte is an equity partner and trial lawyer at Ballard Spahr LLC, a national law firm, where he oversees the intellectual property team for the firm's Phoenix office. LaCorte has served on Arizona's "Smart Beginnings" task force and the Arizona Coalition to End Homelessness. He has completed a long tenure as an executive board member of Crisis Nursery and is a past president of Southwest Human Development. 

He has been active in the St. Thomas More Society, Valley Leadership (Class XI), and the Valley Citizens League. LaCorte has supported the ASU Leadership Scholarship Program and Devils’ Advocates alumni chapters over the past several years.


President: Christine K. Wilkinson '66, '76 Ph.D.
Dr. Wilkinson is the president and CEO of the ASU Alumni Association, as well as senior vice president and secretary of the university, and managing director of the Trustees of ASU. She also teaches regularly and chairs doctoral committees as a tenured faculty member in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. She currently serves on the Southwest Autism Resource and Research Center Board, the United Way of Arizona Board, and the Arizona Women’s Forum Board. She is Past-Chair of the Big Brothers, Big Sisters Board. In 2016, Dr. Wilkinson was inducted to the Arizona’s Women Hall of Fame as a Living Legacy.
