Devols (de volz) n. 1) a hybrid of the terms Sun Devils and volunteers. 2) the legions of dedicated ASU Alumni Association members who continue the proud tradition of ongoing engagement with their alma mater 3) a powerful group composed of generations of Sun Devils who support ASU's continuing development as a world-class university and driving force in the state.
Alumni volunteers continue a grand and sincerely appreciated tradition of service at Arizona State University. Alumni volunteers helped supply campus housing for the surge of returning World War II veterans, raised funds to build the Memorial Union, and rallied to pass the ballot initiative that changed Arizona State Teachers College to Arizona State University. Volunteer efforts have been key to the evolution of the world-class university we proudly support today.
