Legacy Scholarship Award Program

Do you come from a family of Sun Devils? Do you bleed maroon and gold? Are you excited about attending ASU and joining the Sun Devil family, in addition to your parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts or uncles? Then, you may be eligible for a Legacy Scholarship!

A Legacy Scholarship encourages a family tradition of attending a particular university (Arizona State University, of course!) and celebrates those traditions with scholarships. Through the generous support of ASU Alumni Association donors, a Legacy Scholarship fund has been established to make multiple awards to legacies of ASU each academic year.

The first step in applying is to identify an application sponsor. All applicants must be sponsored by a family member who is a member of the ASU Alumni Association. Make sure to check the membership status of your sponsor, and encourage them to join the Association if they haven't already.

Scholarship awards then will be based on evidence of academic success, a strong commitment to community service and/or university involvement, and achievement of personal and educational goals. The Alumni Association is committed to supporting students and at least 50 percent of the scholarships will be distributed based on need. In addition, there will be at least three scholarships awarded to California residents (as recipients of the California Legacy Scholarships).
