2023's Legends Luncheon

The ASU Alumni Association, in partnership with the Sun Devil Club and Sun Devil Athletics, hosted the annual Legends Luncheon the day before Homecoming to pay tribute to the legacy of Sun Devil Football. On Oct. 27, 2023, community leaders, businesses and Sun Devil fans gathered to celebrate the players and coaching staff from the 1971-73 Fiesta Bowl teams.

Sun Devil Football carried a combined 32-4 record as they won the 1971, ‘72 and ‘73 Fiesta Bowls with records of 11-1, 10-2 and 11-1 respectively.

Led by coach Frank Kush, Sun Devils quarterback Danny White and running back Woody Green presented a two-punch offense that was hard to stop, while cornerback Mike Haynes and company were a stonewall on defense.

This can’t-miss, up-close-and-personal event with Sun Devil athletics and football legends was perfectly tailored for Sun Devil fans.
