| Brian LaCorte '85 B.S. LaCorte is an equity partner at Ballard Spahr LLC, a national law firm where he oversees the intellectual property team in the firm's Phoenix office. He focuses his practice on litigation involving patents, trademarks and copyrights. He is recognized in Best Lawyers in America and in several other peer review publications. LaCorte has served on Arizona's "Smart Beginnings" task force and the Arizona Coalition to End Homelessness. He recently completed a long tenure as executive board member of Crisis Nursery and was past president of Southwest Human Development. He is active in the St. Thomas More Society, Valley Leadership (Class XI), and the Valley Citizens League. | Stephanie Nowack '76 M.B.A. Nowack is president and CEO of the Tempe Tourism Office. Prior to joining the tourism office, she held positions in both the corporate and nonprofit fields, working at Security Pacific Bank (now Bank of America), Motorola, and Valley of the Sun United Way. Nowack serves on the boards of the Tempe Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Tempe Community, and the Arizona Tourism Alliance. She is a graduate of Valley Leadership Class IV, Sky Harbor’s Aviation Academy, and the Phoenix Police Department’s Citizen’s Police Academy, and served for many years as a reading tutor for the Boys & Girls Clubs and All Star Kids Tutoring. | Todd Siffren '91 Siffren is Tax Manager and Financial Advisor with Whitman and Jackson, CPAs, PC. His general areas of expertise include business consulting, tax planning and compliance, retirement planning and investment management. Todd is also an adjunct professor at Scottsdale Community College. Todd has served on the Audit Committee and as a representative for the Alumni Association on the ASU Foundation Investment Committee. | Jeff van Raaphorst, ’87, ’97 M.B.A. W. P. Carey School of Business, Phoenix, AZ van Raaphorst and his business partner sold Benton BioMedical to Medtronic, Inc., where Jeff is currently a District Sales Manager for the Minneapolis based company. In addition to his sales manager duties, Jeff has been the radio color analyst for the Arizona State University Football team for over twenty years. He was the 1987 Arizona Amateur Athlete of the Year and was voted the 1987 Rose Bowl Most Valuable Player. He was also the first Sun Devil to be inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame in 2006. | ![]() |
